[name] I answer to both Eva and V.
[character's name] Laiqualassiel
[race] only she knows, and she isn't telling.
[history] Laiqualassiel was born to the outlandishly wealthy lord and lady of a generally unknown province of Gondor. They practically worshipped her elder brother, who was to them the perfect child, and also later her younger sister. They looked upon Laiqualassiel with disdain, however, because she wasn't exactly everything a well-brought-up girl should be. She was rebellious by nature. By the time she was ten she could play a pianoforte as well as anyone, and by her thirteenth year she was fluent in Sindarin, Quenya, Rohirric, and NĂºmenorean. Her parents tried to hide her heritage from her, but she forced it out of them when she was old enough to be curious about it. The only card in her that her parents saw fit to play was her exceptional beauty, and they had her engaged to a wealthy, much older suitor at 15. Laiqualassiel was married to him against her will within the month.
The year Laiqualassiel turned 20, her mother died of the bubonic diesease (can you say 'Black Plague'?). Outwardly she acted prostrate with grief, but inside she was celebrating. Not long afterwards the war of the Ring began, in which her father was soon killed. This was also a cause for rejoicement, but Laiqua still had to face her control-obsessed and rather abusive husband.
Less than sixth months after Laiqualassiel's father' death, Uruk-hai from Isengard invaded the small corner of Anorien where Laiqua lived. During the battle that followed, her husband was taken captive. Laiqualassiel fled the city before it was completely overrun, and rode far north. Knowing that a part of her bloodline lay in Rivendell, she went there. Somehow the Elf-folk knew who she was, and Laiqualassiel soon felt quite welcome among them. There she still dwells.
[personality] described in the paragraph above
[appearance] Long almost-black hair, almost white skin, and purple eyes. Her violet eye colour long set her apart from the rest of her family, who had blue.
